You can hold a sample session from the full Disability Equality Training Series (DETS) 101 program. At no charge, you get Session 5a-5b: Three Laws and You Be the Judge. You choose either the in person or distance learning versions. Each includes a detailed meeting agenda, visual guides and accessories.

The in-person version is designed for 12 participants and three facilitators (including a self-advocate co-facilitator, an ally facilitator and a support ally). The distance learning version is best for eight participants and three facilitators, as above.

Start by recruiting participants and facilitators. Review the materials, set a time (and place) and print handouts for participants. (You will mail copies to distance learning participants.)
